I love South Park. It addresses social issues though comedy, vulgar incidents and surreal storylines. The latest episode (shown last week in the USA) makes fun at how and why the Facebook generation befriend others on social networking sites. The "You've Got 0 Friends" episode also features the controversial video streaming site Chatroulette.

When creating Twitter analytics reports I always record where clients Twitter followers are located. I also like to supply the client with an interactive Twitter follower map. This helps us to measure and evaluate the reach of their tweets.

This epic viral video that was ‘Facebooked’ across to me this morning. It intertwines user generated content (UGC) into the video in order for it to become personal to the recipient. The viral video template has been created in order for it to drive awareness (and ultimately sales) of Swedish TV licenses. This is a very different approach to the TV License adverts that we have in the UK. Their key focus is on fear and imprisonment. The swedish approach on the otherhand focuses on celebration and unison.

Recently a (Twitter) contact of mine ‘MTrends’ tweeted out a slideshow predicting some of the innovative changes that are due to occur within mobile in the next ten years. It uses informaiton, data and thoughts from a number of leading organisations and bodies within the mobile sector. These predictions highlight areas ranging from iphone penetration to the innovative ways in which mobile technologies will help bridge societies & communities.
It is an excellent and inspiring presentation focusing on the positive impact mobile phones will increasingly have.
