It was a pleasure having London's leading urban brand in the Social Media Strategist office. The Urban Nerds have made a name for themselves by putting on the best music events & london warehouse parties. They are an iconic london brand with artists & a range of clothing products under their belt. The Urban Nerds blog was recently found to be the 5th most influential UK urban lifestyle blog by Cision. Since the digital marketing training the Urban Nerds very kindly performed as part of the social media experiment at Glastonbury festival.

I look forward to working with the Urban Nerds going forward and wish them all the best with their future events and marketing campaigns.
I have recently started to assist one of London's top Salon's with their online and offline marketing. Sergio Gianasso is based in the heart of London. Their clients range from city workers to Tiesto and David Hasselhoff.
The salon has been awarded 5/5 by the 'Good Salon Guide' since they opened and have been featured in various publications picking up a number of awards along the way. The two story salon is beautiful. Everything from the massaging chairs, the staff, the refreshments, the free WIFI and free champagne leads to a relaxing and unforgettable experience. If you are looking for amazing haircut at a reasonable price get down to the salon.
The Social Media Experiment at Glastonbury 2010 posters are now hot off the print and ready to be plastered up around the festival. This is a project that I am running for the Igloo Dome. It's purpose it to showcase the dome as the leading interactive environment suitable for both corporate and entertainment based events. It will take place from 12am until 12pm on Friday the 25th June at Glastonbury festival 2010.

The Social Media Experiment will take place on Friday the 25th June between 1pm & Midnight, and will feature a number of comedians, musicians, performance artists and live shows incorporating social media and interactive web technologies. Such events include a stand-up comedy act using ‘Chatroulette Live’.
Other highlights include a virtual art gallery and a range of musicians using social media within their performances.Today will also see the launch of the Social Media Experiment’s ‘Perform at Glastonbury 2010’ 7 day competition, which gives entrants the chance to perform live on the Glastonbury stage. In order to win, visitors to the site are asked to join the competition group on Facebook and post a link to prove that they are a in a band, an artists etc. The winning act will then be chosen from the group at random in this ‘flash mob’ style competition.

James Norris, of Social Media Strategist, comments: “Glastonbury is all about performance, fun and expression. The Social Media Experiment allows attendees to have memorable, interactive experiences whilst being surrounded by the Igloo domes state of the art technology.” Marina Sirotkin, UK country manager for ipercast, adds: “Being involved with such a groundbreaking project is a real thrill, and it’s exciting to see all the aspects of the Experiment come together. It’s this kind of technology which will really propel performance into the 21st Century and we can’t wait to see the results.”

To celebrate Pacmans 30th Birthday Google have changed their homepage logo into an interactive PacMan game. This is probably the coolest thing Google has ever done. I am a PacMan lover, and bid them a happy 30th Birthday. The object of the game you is to evade the ghosts Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Clyde and much on as many yellow dots as possible (as if you don't know).
To play, simply click the button that usually says "I'm feeling lucky" but now has the legend "Insert Coin". However, if you don't do anything, the game will start by itself. If you click twice on "Insert Coin" then two people can play. Ms Pac-Man joins the game, with the second person controlling her movements using the WASD keys.

I love South Park. It addresses social issues though comedy, vulgar incidents and surreal storylines. The latest episode (shown last week in the USA) makes fun at how and why the Facebook generation befriend others on social networking sites. The "You've Got 0 Friends" episode also features the controversial video streaming site Chatroulette.
You may want to click on the video twice in order to view the episode in the full screen mode. Enjoy
